Nameeta Bhatia

Head of Year 10

My name is Nameeta Bhatia. I have done my Masters in English Literature from India and have been teaching since the last 14 years. I have worked for GEMS Education for last 10 Years. Before joining GEMS, I have taught for four years in one of the prestigious school in Ahmedabad, India.

I have been in CIS since September 2011 and it has been a wonderful journey so far. I am a part of the English Faculty and have been teaching in the secondary school since the time I have joined. I am also the Head of Year 9. I believe teaching is not only about scores, tests and results; it is also or even more about how to train students with moral values, as the youth of today is the future of tomorrow. Being a part of CIS I have successfully cleared CIE and FCE exams. Reading, music, painting, art and traveling are some of my favourite pass times. I am a voracious reader and read everything I can lay my hands on.

I strongly believe in the saying

“It’s nice to be important but more important to be nice.”
