Namitha Sujish

Faculty Leader English Primary

With over 10 years of teaching experience in the UAE, including six years in faculty leadership, I bring extensive experience in classroom practice, curriculum development, and educational leadership. My academic background includes qualifications in English Language and Literature and Business Administration, a Bachelor of Education, with teaching qualifications in English, History and Geography.

I am licensed by the UAE Ministry of Education to teach English to speakers of other languages, have completed the Professional Development Qualification in Teaching and Learning with Cambridge Assessment International Education, and am nearing completion of the National Professional Qualification for Senior Leadership (NPQSL).

Since joining Cambridge International School, I have served as Primary Humanities Lead and am now excited to take on the role of Primary English Faculty Leader. I am passionate about creating engaging learning experiences that encourage children to be curious, think critically, communicate confidently, and become independent learners. I believe great teaching should inspire children while giving them the confidence to ask questions, take risks and discover their potential. As a leader, I value collaboration, high expectations and continuous improvement, while ensuring every child feels known, valued, and supported. Safeguarding and wellbeing are central to my approach, as children learn best when they feel safe, respected, and listened to.

I am particularly passionate about reading, sustainability and developing responsible global citizens. Reading is an important part of both my professional and personal life, and I love helping children discover the enjoyment, imagination, and knowledge that books offer. I also coordinate sustainability initiatives connected with The Alliance of Sustainable Schools (Hong Kong), giving pupils opportunities to understand their role and impact in the wider world.

Above all, I want to make a lasting difference to the children and communities I serve, helping create a school experience where children are inspired to learn, confident to express themselves, curious about the world and proud of their progress.
