Kartika Nair

I am Kartika Nair. A Certified Management Accountant (ACMA) and Corporate Governance professional (ACS) with a Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Education, I bring in-depth professional experience in Business Mathematics to my teaching. For me, teaching is a profound passion, and I firmly believe in building strong relationships with students to create a thriving learning atmosphere.

Having joined CIS as a Year 4 Mathematics teacher and gone on to serve as Head of Year 6, I completed my NPQSL to support my leadership journey. Now, as Primary Mathematics Curriculum Leader, I am deeply committed to building learners' confidence and curiosity in mathematics moving beyond rote procedure toward genuine understanding, and empowering students to take charge of their own learning journey.

I believe mathematics is more than a subject it is a way of thinking that builds resilience, logic, and confidence that extend far beyond the classroom.

As an avid learner myself, I am constantly seeking to refine my skills and broaden my knowledge, and I look forward to bringing that same spirit of curiosity and growth into shaping our math curriculum together.
