Dear Parents/Guardians of years 7-10

Re: - Summer Final Assessments June 2010

The final end-of-year assessments for Years 7-10 begin on Wednesday the 2nd of June and finish on Tuesday 15th of June. During this period students will go home at 12.00 noon to allow them time to do exam revision study. Buses will be provided and children who travel by car will need to be picked up at this time.

Course summaries for your child’s year group are currently being given out by their subject teachers in lessons and are available for download below. This will allow easy access for students and parents who may wish to help their child with their revision study programme.

Below are some basic requirements of students undertaking these assessments:
• Writing equipment contained in a clear plastic sandwich bag. No pencil cases are allowed.
• A ruler, two pens, two pencils, rubber, calculator, a few coloured pencils, a sharpener and a maths set (if needed).
• No Tippex or ‘Whitening’ is to be used.
• Bottle of water with a sports cap.
• Revision material and/or reading book for use before and after assessments.
• A watch to manage time effectively in the exam.

Kindly note that during the period Wednesday 2nd June until Tuesday 15th of June inclusive there will be no 1.45pm bus service.
